Amaretto Sour Mocktail (vegan friendly)

Mocktails or non-alcoholic drinks are the buzz words in the industry right now . The emergence of non-alcoholic spirits is on the rise . This bartender has had a taste of a few of them and well the jury is still out for me . But the other day in the liquor store I noticed a bottle of non-alcoholic Amaretto or Amaretti as it is known by Lyre's who make an extensive range of non-alcoholic spirits . If you have ever made cocktails or worked in a bar you know that it has been pretty impossible to make an Amaretto Sour as a mocktail because the Amaretto is such a distinctive flavor that there really was no substitute , until now.

After tasting this product in a Amaretto Sour mocktail i have to say the flavor profile is amazing and it really tastes spot on. Well done Lyre's . Well done .

Ingredients

4 oz. Lyre's Amaretti

1 1/2 oz. Freshly squeezed lemon juice

3 Dashes Angostura Bitters (i know this technically contains alcohol but 3 dashes is negligible in this drink)

Method

Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker with ice and shake until shaker is very frosty.

Strain into glass over ice.

Garnish with lemon wedge or used squeezed lemon half.

Drink down and enjoy Rustys and with this one drink as much or as many of these as you like!
